Covid-19 Details for Katikati Football

Current Status Summary (as at 31 March 2022):

We now know that the rules requiring a My Vaccine Pass will change before the season starts BUT it may take some time for this to filter through Sport NZ and NZ Football to us. Parents/Spectators will usually be able to watch without needing to show a My Vaccine Pass.

So those affected please continue to use this alternative method to register: "So the committee have suggested if your child is affected by the vaccine pass rule that instead of registering on MyComet, you email the Registrations Coordinator (katikatijuniors.reg@gmail.com) with your child's full name, date of birth, email and a contact phone number. We will keep a list and can contact you about registering later." Note: We treat this alternative registration just like a MyComet registration and so long as it is before registration close we place the player on a team list.

Upcoming Muster: This is a Mix of MVP and Non MVP Events: No player at the Muster will require a My Vaccine Pass. We will run grade 11 and up as NON My Vaccine Pass trainings with a 25 person limit (including the Youth Development muster at noon). For grades 10 and younger they will run as a combined MVP event.  For coaches, adults and spectators, please remember your My Vaccine Pass or watch from outside the roped area.

Current Status Summary (as at 18 March 2022):

The situation is currently changing and we expect further changes.  Yesterday NZ Football made this announcement.

So we now have the option to run youth and senior trainings as non My Vaccine Pass (MVP) gatherings with a lower limit of 25 people.  Junior trainings stay the same for now. Games and registration do not change for now either.

As of today:

  • Senior and youth coaches running a training, please advise your players and parents whether it is a My Vaccine Pass event or not.  If you choose a,
    • non MVP event, the person limit is 25 and no player or coach manager needs to have a MVP.
    • If it is an MVP required event, then the person limit is 100 and and passes must be checked of those (players/coaches/managers) who enter the gathering.
    • Either way Parents/Spectators are still advised to watch from outside the gathering, do not need a MVP and should not gather in groups larger than 25.
  • 13,14,15th grade Trial on Mon 21st March will now be split into two 25 person NON MVP events if the numbers require.  It is therefore open to any player or coach whether they have a MVP or not.
  • Junior Muster 27th March - unchanged at this stage.  It will be a MVP required event but this should only really affect coach, parent and spectator access, not players.
  • Those players affected by the MVP requirement please note,
    • At this stage there is no change around games or registering - continue to email the registration coordinator* if you wish to play this season and have not done so already *.
    • If you are of College age and have emailed the registration Coordinator about your situation then you should receive an email soon inviting you to the Trial or with information about your muster.
  • Please continue to follow all other Red Setting requirements provided by government or listed below

* The committee have suggested if your child is affected by the vaccine pass rule that instead of registering on MyComet, you email the Registrations Coordinator (katikatijuniors.reg@gmail.com) with your child's full name, date of birth, email and a contact phone number. We will keep a list and can contact you about registering later if the situation changes before the season begins. We can't guarantee a place but having a list will help us plan.

Status Summary (as at 13 Feb 2022):

We are at setting Red of the Covid Protection Framework.   NZ Football and WaiBOP recently announced how football can proceed at this setting.  The main point is that all Football 'Gatherings' must now be done with a My Vaccine Pass for everyone over 12 years and 3 months at the time of the gathering.

The way that this will work for the numerous KKFC gatherings in coming weeks and months is being worked through and this page will get updated.

Until all players, coaches and managers are registered and the season starts, i.e. for ALL Pre-Season Trainings, Trials and Meetings, the following guidelines are now in place:
