Important Dates for 2024

(Details to be confirmed, and all dates are subject to change.)

Summary: 

  • Most likely junior/youth games will start 4th May and we’ll aim to have teams worked out and coaches appointed by 6th April.

  • Note: We have renamed First Kicks to Mini-Kickers to avoid confusion with the NZF Junior Framework First Kicks definition which did not match ours.​​​​​​​

Mini-Kickers Dates  (previously known as First Kicks or Minis)

  • Sat 2nd March - Mini-Kickers registrations open
  • Sun 24th March , 9am-10.00am, Moore Park  - Mini-kickers Muster alongside Juniors Muster
  • Sun 24th March - Club registrations close but Mini-kickers generally allows late registrations Sunday 15th May - dependin on numbers!
  • Sun 12th May - Mini-Kickers start date (usually the first or second Sunday in Term 2)
  • Sun 12th May - last day for late registrations
  • TBC Sun xxx Sept - Mini-Kickers end date  (usually in September before end of term 3)
  • TBC Sun xxx Sept - Mini-Kickers Prize giving

Juniors/Youth Dates

  • Saturday 2nd March  - All Junior/Youth Registrations Open

  • Wednesdays - 15th and 22nd Feb, 1st and 8th March - Pre-Season Boys Youth (14 and over - U19 Premiers, 2nd XI, 14/15 etc), Moore Park, 6.30-8.00pm
  • Wednesday 1st and 8th March - Pre-Season Girls Youth (13 and over, First XI, 13/14th):, Moore Park, 6.00-7.30pm
  • Sunday 5th March - Boys U19 Premiers Trial #1, 9am-10.30am, Moore Park
  • Sunday 12th March - Boys U19 Premiers Trial #2, 9am-10.30am, Moore Park
  • Sunday 12th March - Girls First XI Trial #1, 9am-10.30am, Moore Park
  • NEW Wednesday 15th March - 14/15th Boys, Grade 13 Boys Pre-Season, 4.30-6pm, Moore Park

DATE CHANGE FOR KKFC MUSTER 4-19 year olds

Updated to: Wednesday 10th March; 5-6.30pmMoore Park

Level 2 Covid Restrictions mean that gatherings of more than 100 people are not possible, we have had to take this into consideration hence the need to change the Muster date.

A fun evening muster being held again at Katikati's home of football Moore Park.There will be fun games for the players, and committee members will be available to help answer any questions you may have. Anyone with any queries regarding First Kicks, Junior or Youth Football more than welcome - don't forget sneakers/boots if you want to get involved in the games.Look out for the KKFC Flag, as there may be other football sessions on at the same time. 


We're also having our Football Boot Swap/Trade. So bring along your old boots to swap for free, or buy a pair of second hand boots for a gold coin donation.

TEAM SELECTION INFORMATION

Please see details below regarding trial dates and times for the different age grades.

Junior Teams Sun 21st March, Moore Park

  • No trials for 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Players
  • 9am - 9th & 10th Grade Boys & U10 Girls* (All players born 2011 & 2012)
  • 10am - 11th & 12th Grade Boys & U13 Girls* (Boys born 2009 & 2010; Girls born 2008, 2009, 2010)

*Girls teams can only go ahead if we have enough numbers, otherwise girls can be placed in boys teams either for their age grade or one age grade below." 

Youth Teams

Sun 7th March, Moore Park

  • 9am - 1st XI Girls & 13th Grade Boys
  • 10.30am - U19/1st XI Boys & 14/15th Boys

13th Grade boys are players born 2008.  14/15th Boys are players born 2006 and 2007. 

UPDATE: Tues 9th March - Additional U19 Prems Weekday Trial - Now POSTPONED due to bereavement, new date to be advised.

Sun 14th March, Moore Park

  • 2pm - U19/1st XI Boys & 14/15th Boys
  • 3.30pm - 1st XI Girls AND 13th Grade Boys

Some 14/15th age players may wish to trial for 1st XI Boys.

Federation Teams 

Unfortunately we will not be offering Federation Teams this season. If your child is keen to play Federation level you'll need to move quickly to see trial dates for other clubs.  We are still progressing an MOU with Tauranga AFC.

IMPORTANT TRIAL INFO:

  • Arrive 15 mins early to sign in. Most trials run for approximately one hour.
  • Trials will go ahead rain or shine.
  • Make sure you’re in shinpads, socks & boots; please bring plenty of water.
  • If you are unable to attend trials, and wish to be considered, please email your reason to Rosemary Stone
